Finally.....

...after much waiting and anticipation....

overcast

... I am flying out to Seoul this weekend!! Yipppeeee!!!

Wasn't really sure whether the job offer was going to be genuine after having been let down by previous schools agents but I tentatively agreed to this job at the end of last week and after much correspondence with my new agent, the school are in the process of booking my flights. They want me to fly out asap so it's not a lot of notice, but I guess that's fine.

I'm absolutely terrified and excited at the same time but it's going to be such amazing experience and I think it's safe to say that I've had enough 'me time' since Christmas and am itching to move on and try something new.

Disaster!

rain

Found out on Wednesday that because my visa had taken so long to process, the school have offered my job to someone else!! :( I have been feeling rather despondent over the last couple of days because it's such a blow but have resolved to pull myself together today and have started to look for another school.

On a positive note, I've just opened my email account and have been contacted by 3 people in relation to schools this morning, so maybe finding another post won' t be so difficult afterall! In the meantime, I'm willing my visa to just hurry up and be processed fast!

Will post more news when I have some!

Still processing visa...euf! :/

0 °C

Hi all!

I'm still waiting for my visa to be processed (it has been a painfully, painfully slow process!) so haven't actually left the country yet. :( However, I've had a lot of emails asking how I am recently so I thought that it was time to begin my blog. It has taken an absolute age for my CRB cerificate to be processed but I'm hoping to leave for Seoul in the next few weeks now that it is complete - as soon as my visa is ready I'll be on the next plane out there, believe me!! The school will arrange my flight and departure date as soon as I have my visa - shouldn't be too long now as the documents have all now been sent to Korea. I'll be keeping this blog updated for the duration of my trip so feel free to check up on me and see how I'm doing. :)

Am getting more than a little bit nervous as the departure date draws nearer (and am missing London too!) ...but I'm sure I'll be fine and I'm pretty much ready to go now. I've had all of the various vaccinations over the last couple of weeks (Rabies, Typhoid, Hep B, Japanese B Ecephalitis...) - I've felt like a pin cushion :?!!

Am very excited to find various yoga/dance/pilate groups in Seoul - it sounds right up my street so I'll feel right at home :)

So, who knows what Seoul 2009 will bring?!! Those of you who know me well will know that it is likely to be eventful, no matter what!!! ;)

I'll post another update when I'll (hopefully) be settled in Seoul. In the meantime, I need to dwindle down the sheer volume of stuff that I hope to bring with me to Korea ( I find it very hard to travel light ;) )!!

Jal-ga-se-yo!! (See you later!!)

Helsxx
